A journey through the Dutch Masters, reimagined as an immersive world of art, movement and discovery.
Context
The Dutch Masters created paintings that captured entire worlds within a frame.
Remastered set out to bring those worlds beyond the canvas, transforming the richness of classical Dutch art into an experience that surrounds the visitor.
Rather than viewing individual works from a distance, visitors are invited to step inside a digital interpretation of the art — discovering familiar artistic traditions from an entirely new perspective.
Approach
We reimagined the visual language of the Dutch Masters for an immersive, multi-room experience, translating the detail, atmosphere and imagination of classical painting into a world of moving images.
Through digital animation, scale and movement, artworks become environments to explore rather than images to observe. Familiar visual elements are transformed, compositions unfold across the surrounding space, and the boundaries between individual paintings and the world around the visitor begin to dissolve.
The result is a dialogue between past and present, where the visual heritage of the Dutch Masters meets contemporary digital storytelling.
Impact
Remastered opens up classical art to a new generation of audiences by changing not only how the works are seen, but how they are experienced.
By bringing art beyond the frame and into the surrounding space, the experience invites visitors to look closer, discover unexpected details and reconnect with familiar artistic traditions through a new lens.
Because great art doesn't belong inside a frame. It creates worlds of its own.
